SCOPE Accreditation of Courses

Following requests from local continuing medical education organisers within Europe, the EASO Executive and SCOPE Steering Group have developed guidelines for SCOPE accreditation of CPD events.

The guidelines reflect those of the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) of the Union of European Medical Societies (UEMS). Organisers will therefore be able to apply for EACCME accreditation in addition to SCOPE accreditation if they wish to do so.

Course providers are required to pay an administration fee and this is dependent on the size and duration of the event, and are due once the meeting has been confirmed as a SCOPE accredited meeting.

Course organisers will receive a certificate of accreditation if required.

Participants will receive between ½ and 4 points towards SCOPE Membership, depending on length and content of the course.
