SCOPE Fellowship - recognising experts in obesity management

The SCOPE Fellowship recognises experts in the field of obesity management who have been recommended by their national association selection committee with final approval by the Registration Group. It is currently only operational within IASO's European region.

There are three tiers to the Fellows Scheme, which recognises the level of expertise a clinician has.

Founding Fellows: Internationally renowned experts in the field of obesity management who have been identified by a special search committee of SCOPE. Founding Fellows were announced during the 13th European Congress on Obesity in Prague in 2004. The nominating process of European Founding Fellows was a one off process and has now closed.

European Fellows: Renowned regional experts in the field of obesity management.

National Fellows: Renowned experts at a national level in the field of obesity management.

The benefit of becoming a SCOPE Fellow is that you will be identified by your peers as an expert in obesity management, having shown evidence of experience, innovative work and commitment to field, either across Europe or in their own country.

SCOPE is currently developing an Ambassador's Scheme for its Fellows and further information will be available shortly.

The Fellowship application process for 2007 is closed. New applications will be accepted as from ECO 2008 in May 2008.
